Kawtha Koi Foundation participated in the World Mental Health Day Observance Programme organised by the Jaiprakash Institute of Social Change (JPISC) on 7th November at Sarat Sadan (Hall No. 1), Howrah. The programme was held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and brought together organisations, practitioners, and community stakeholders committed to promoting mental well-being and social inclusion.
The event aimed to raise awareness about mental health, particularly among children and vulnerable communities, and to encourage collective action through dialogue, education, and shared experiences. The sessions highlighted the importance of early intervention, emotional support, and community-driven approaches in addressing mental health challenges.
Kawtha Koi Foundation’s participation reflected its continued commitment to mental health awareness and psychosocial well-being, especially among underprivileged and marginalised groups. The Foundation actively engaged with fellow organisations, exchanged insights on community-based mental health initiatives, and explored possibilities for future collaboration in the areas of awareness, outreach, and support systems.
The programme provided a meaningful platform for networking, learning, and reflection, reinforcing the shared responsibility of civil society in fostering mental well-being. Kawtha Koi Foundation values its association with JPISC and appreciates the opportunity to be part of an initiative that aligns closely with its vision of compassionate, inclusive, and sustainable community development.
